Women, Infants and Children
(WIC)

In partnership with USDA and NYS Department of Health, our Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is open to low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women and their children up to age five who are at nutritional risk. WIC provides food assistance, nutrition education, breastfeeding help, and health screenings with referrals to health care providers and human service agencies. Participants meet with a nutritionist to discuss the eating habits of their children and any concerns about their child’s diet or growth. Breastfeeding information and support is available from peer counselors and trained WIC staff.
