Thea Bowman Residence
Thea Bowman Residence provides 31 units of housing for people with physical disabilities. The first of its kind on Long Island, the residence stands alongside our Office for Persons with Disabilities at Catholic Charities' Amityville site.
Visually Impaired Persons (VIP) Center
The visually impaired persons (VIP) center in Nassau County provides visually impaired adults the opportunity to share in weekly recreational, educational, and interfaith programs. Limited transportation and a hot lunch are provided.
Eligibility and Fees
To be eligible for the Thea Bowman Residence, an applicant must have a qualifying visual, hearing, or mobility impairment and be of low-income. Rent is charged as a percentage of income.
