This year’s theme for Mental Health Month is Where to Start: Mental Health in a Changing World.

The world is constantly changing – for better or for worse – and it can be overwhelming to deal with everything going on around you.

Being able to maintain good mental health is essential to each and every individual’s overall health and well-being. Most mental health conditions are common, manageable, and treatable.

One in five people will experience a mental health condition in any given year, and everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health.

Catholic Charities will celebrate Mental Health Awareness throughout the month at the following events:

May 1: Participation at Molloy University’s Wear Green and Be Seen Event.

May 1 through May 10: CCLI Mental Health Services client art show displayed at Molloy University Library.

May 6: Holy Trinity HS Girls Lacrosse Team dedicates their home game to mental health awareness.

May 8: CCLI Be Seen in Green Challenge. Show your support by coming to work sporting your Green. We will be taking pictures across the agency and posting pictures on social media to spread awareness.

May 18: CCLI Residential Services Be Seen in Green Walkathon.

May 23: Presentation to students at Notre Dame School, New Hyde Park.
